Launched in 2022 with 5 vehicles, Turtle has established itself in the urban mobility landscape with an innovative offer of accessible and professional sustainable transport. The company offers a bike-taxi service in Paris that combines ecology, efficiency, and comfort, catering to a wide range of users.
In 2024, with the Paris Olympic Games approaching, Turtle expanded its fleet to 60 bikes, a strategic move to meet growing demand. During peak season, up to 50 salaried drivers ride through the streets of the capital to deliver its services.
Turtle currently offers four main services:
Bike-based VTC (ride-hailing): for daily urban trips, with a comfortable and accessible bike-cab service,
Turtle’s VTC service attracts customers looking for easy micromobility, often underserved by traditional options:
“Typically, we see seniors, people with reduced mobility, travelers with luggage, families with children or pets. It’s always difficult to take a bike or a scooter for these kinds of trips,” explains Aymard de Ravignan, CEO of Turtle.
Connected Cycle’s trackers and fleet management solutions play a key role in Turtle’s operations by enabling:
Automatic mileage calculation for accurate billing in VTC and advertising services,
Real-time geolocation to optimize bike-cab dispatching,
Clear operational reports for internal and client use.
“These are essential data for running our operations. It’s a tool for billing, client reporting, and our commercial strategy.”
One of Connected Cycle’s major assets lies in its ability to deliver accurate, actionable data for mobile advertising campaigns. With their embedded trackers, Turtle can:
“With geolocation systems, we can provide advertisers with clear data on real exposure zones. It adds great credibility to our offer versus more traditional urban display solutions. We also provide advertisers with precise data on the low carbon footprint of their campaigns,” adds Aymard de Ravignan.
After a 2024 marked by the Olympics, with many event and advertising operations, Turtle is focusing in 2025 on developing its core bike-VTC business.
To boost its visibility, Turtle is preparing a major acquisition campaign in the capital:
“The idea is to launch a digital and physical marketing campaign, with free rides to introduce our service, mainly targeting Parisians.”
Once the Paris market is consolidated, Turtle plans to expand to other major French cities, depending on opportunities:
Bordeaux, Nantes, and Lyon are already identified as priorities. Meanwhile, Turtle is also working to integrate its vehicle category into major VTC platforms.
With Connected Cycle’s support, Turtle successfully combines ecology, technology, and commercial performance—paving the way for new data-driven economic models. An inspiring model for the future of urban mobility.
