Connected Cycle will exhibit at Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona from 3 to 5 November 2026, in the French Pavilion, Hall 2, Booth D80.

We will be sharing 12 years of experience and 40,000 bikes managed, helping cities and operators streamline their bike operations through connectivity, GPS tracking and fleet management. If you run, plan or fund a bike-sharing or long-term bike rental service, it is a good moment to compare notes.

Why bike fleet data matters for smart cities

A bike fleet is only as manageable as what you know about it: where each bike is, whether it is working, and how it is used. Without connected bikes, operations teams rely on manual checks and on users reporting problems.

With a connected tracker on every bike, position and usage data reach a single platform. Teams can plan maintenance and redistribution on facts, and cities get the figures they need to steer and evaluate a service.

Beyond the service itself, the same data can inform the public policy around it. Aggregated and anonymised, trip and parking data help cities answer concrete questions:
• Bike lanes: which corridors carry the most trips, and where gaps in the network push riders onto busy roads. This is evidence to prioritise new or upgraded lanes, and to measure their effect on usage afterwards.
• Parking: where bikes are left and where demand exceeds the space available. This helps size and place bike racks and parking zones, and spot areas where bikes pile up and get in pedestrians’ way.
• Coverage and equity: which neighbourhoods are under-served, so that the service area and the distribution of bikes can be adjusted.
• Planning and budgets: facts to support discussions with elected officials, operators and residents, instead of impressions.

For policy, patterns matter more than individual journeys, which is why aggregation and anonymisation are part of the design, not an afterthought.

What we bring: 12 years and 40,000 bikes

Connected Cycle designs connectivity and geolocation solutions for bike fleets. We have 12 years of expertise in end-to-end bicycle telematics, combining hardware, software, telecom and data management, for both long-term bike rental and bike-sharing services.

Over 100 customers trust us to monitor more than 40,000 bikes, across Europe, the United States and Canada.

Our IoT range fits every need of a bike fleet:
• cc521: a low-power GPS tracker with 4G LTE-M, WiFi and CAN Bus.
• ccW: an affordable WiFi-based tracking device.
• cc330: a smart horseshoe lock with GPS tracking.
• Bosch Smart System: Fleet can also collect data from bikes equipped with Bosch Smart System (via the Bosch Connect Module), through a direct global partnership with Bosch.

Connected Cycle also provides BikR, our Computer Assisted Maintenance System. Fully dedicated to bike fleets and built with fleets on the ground, BikR acts as a digital twin of your workshop. It speeds up repairs, increases bike uptime and enables predictive maintenance.

What to talk about with us at the booth

Whether you already run a bike service or are preparing a tender, our team on Booth D80 can discuss:
• Connectivity: how to connect a bike fleet reliably, whether you are launching a new service or equipping existing bikes.
• GPS tracking: how to locate and follow bikes across your territory.
• Fleet management: how to streamline daily operations, from maintenance to redistribution, with a single platform.
• Data and privacy: how to handle location data responsibly under GDPR.
• Lessons learned: what 12 years and 40,000 bikes have taught us about running bike services at city scale.
