Connected Cycle is proud to announce that it has been honored with the Last Mile Delivery Innovation Award at the Autonomy Mobile World Congress (Paris, March 20-21st) for a groundbreaking solution, that enables the remote health monitoring and geolocation of batteries.

The congress was held in Paris this week for its 8th edition with more than 5,000 attendees. The innovation award jury gathered C-Level representatives from Hutchinson, Hogan Lovells, Toyota, Transdev, MHP/Porsche and Avem.

The Awarded innovation from Connected Cycle is designed to revolutionize the management of swappable electric batteries for companies with large fleet of vehicles powered by such batteries, such as last mile delivery operators or micromobility operators. Comprised of three key components, the system offers unparalleled efficiency and cost-effectiveness for fleet managers:  

• Embedded & miniaturized Low-Cost Hardware: The system features a microcontroller seamlessly integrated within the battery enclosure. This hardware collects raw data from the Battery Management System (BMS), providing crucial insights into inventory and health monitoring.
• Patented Transmission and Location System: Leveraging a unique and patented (EP 3 639 531) transmission and location system, the ccW utilizes public Wi-Fi hotspots in cities or warehouses for ad hoc data transfer from the battery to the cloud. This eliminates the need for cellular modems, SIM cards, GPS, or wireless subscriptions, resulting in significant cost savings and reduced power consumption.
• Robust SaaS Platform: The system is complemented by a robust Software as a Service (SaaS) platform, offering comprehensive data storage, monitoring, and visualization capabilities. Fleet managers gain access to actionable insights and high-value information, empowering them to optimize their operations and enhance efficiency.
